Run the Petri Dash and make a difference!
Same race...new name - Petri Dash - A 5k for Kids' Cancer Research.
The Petri Dash...say WHAT? Grace's Race is now the Petri Dash! The amazing Grace Petroff, who created Grace's Race in 2013, is now a thriving college freshman at Creighton University. Because her family is relocating to Washington DC, they asked us to rename this incredible event. We'd like to thank Grace and the entire Petroff family for their time and service helping The Morgan Adams Foundation. Please read the heartfelt farewell letter from their family here.
Since the first event in 2013, Grace's Race has raised over $258,000 to further pediatric cancer research and save the lives of other children, teenagers, and young adults battling cancer.
So what the heck is the Petri Dish you ask? Well, it's the same great 5k race at the same great place with passionate runners, walkers, teams, families, real-life pediatric cancer researchers from Children's Hospital Colorado and generous sponsors - all coming together to emphasize the importance of pediatric cancer research dedicated to finding new treatments for KIDS' cancers. That's where the Petri Dash comes into play. Without your help raising more research dollars, new therapies and treatments can't be discovered and put into motion. The Morgan Adams Foundation is funding HOPE from the petri dish to the cure.
The Petri Dash benefits The Morgan Adams Foundation, an organization that raises money and awareness on behalf of children with cancer. Working with leading physicians and researchers, The Morgan Adams Foundation funds pediatric cancer research and therapies that will improve the survival rates and reduce the devastating side effects cancer treatments have on kids and young adults.
